96 KHz and RME ADI-2 doesn´t work for me . I can make 96 KHz work with the boards (Pulsar 2 ) own breakoutcables but there is a lot of noise on the signal and RME ´s converter should be much better.Only one channal is active with ADI 2 in 96KHz .I also have problems with RME and 44.1 KHz but usually I can suppres the problem, pops and clicks , by reloading the drivers or resync.
Anyone have an idea to solve the problem?

why is the RME i/o much better?
how are you connecting the two systems?

For 96khz you need to go into the pulsar controlpanel>Samplerate and select S/mux A or B depending on what adat port you use.khim-zen wrote:96 KHz and RME ADI-2 doesn´t work for me . Re: 96 KHz and Rme ADI-2 doesn´t work
that is true, if you are slaving to ADAT.
but that's an excellent point Fluxpod! ADAT is 48khz maximum. with 2 sets of ADAT ports(16 channels), you can get 8 channels of 96k using s/mux. this is an ADAT standard, not a Scope or RME thing.

Thank you for your answers.
I have tried s/mux .I have tried both slave and master mode but only one channel is monitored.
"why is the RME i/o much better?"
answer:
Signal from RME is almost noiseless and I think the RME converters are better.

Re: 96 KHz and Rme ADI-2 doesn´t work
All the more reason to buy converters from this Century that S|C uses.
Re: 96 KHz and Rme ADI-2 doesn´t work
Make sure to choose either S/pdif optical or adat.If Adat then S/mux for anything over 48khz! Or if you connect via coaxial S/pdif make sure to run 75 ohm cables. You need to connect 2 cables! In and out to get sync.
Btw the Adi2 is a very good 2 ch converter.

Re: 96 KHz and Rme ADI-2 doesn´t work
My RME ADI 2 still doesn´t work in 96 Khz. Only one channel is monitored. Does anyone use S/MUX from the 4.5 software? I have the idea that S/mux is the problem since only channel 1 works.Another reason could be sync problem. ADI 2 doesn´t have WC-sync and my experience tells me tha ADAT sync is less stable
Re: 96 KHz and Rme ADI-2 doesn´t work
s-mux uses two channels for each channel of audio.
