Can you set the resolution BEFORE you create a tape ?

yeah, i don't think that the resolution can be changed once the tape is created.

How do you go about changing the resolution?
Do you press and move the mouse when you activate the window?

When I record I see the outputs of VDAT send signals to the micromixer during the recording (routing = waves->STM1632->input 1_2 VDAT->output_1_2 VDAT->inputs micromixer->pulsar_analog_outputs)
but no playback possible ... it seems that nothing has been recorded ...
I tried in 16/24/32 all same thing.

vdat behaves like an actual tape deck.

are you sure you are in the proper monitor mode for each track? if it's "input" you won't hear any recording.

I had done only a short test. But Today I need vdat seriously and it's a nightmare to do vdat working !

I set 32 bits and it didn't worked. When I set 24 bits it recorded but only 9 seconds ! (7mn in the setting times) :o

And now nothing happens vdat don't want to record something ...

pfffffff

sounds like some messed up software. perhaps rerunning the installer will fix it.

I just reinstalled and it runs.
I think I was wrong because I checked the 'record' box (mean 'auto-record') and I don't know what is it ... I'll see in the manual ...

I 'm surprised because I hear a difference between a record in cubase of the mix and record in vdat !
Everybody says it isn't possible because mathematically it's the same but I hear a huge difference ... :o

if the math was a simple as some think it is, then there would be no difference.

your ears are not lying. :)
