c'mon gary, mcdsp doesn't sound bad, they just sound plain. :-) Of course, last I messed with them was close to 10 years ago in some PT studio.

yes, i'm sure that they are very usable. i already know how to lowfi a signal, though. it's not that hard to mess up the eq and add some grit. i'd be more interested in things like the compressor. i don't understand the idea of modeling a Fairchild compressor and then changing the way that it sounds to make it more "modern". if a Fairchild is what you want, it's because of what it does, but again, it didn't seem like it sounded too bad. still these seem to be aimed at the entry crowd, not pro users. well, that'd be the best way to make money...

ya, I never saw mcdsp plugins being used anywhere except in that one studio. But then again, I'm kind of distanced from the PT crowd. Anyway, I don't think McDSP is about that sort of stuff. They're a producer of awesome videos.

yet the demo shows an interesting use of the plugins.
That's the way I would use it in the first place.
has nothing to do with money tho...

duh!
it's about needing presets to do what any misuse of audio tools can accomplish...
it's about cool graphics.

the videos are excellent.
