sending direct outs from analog mixer to ferofish A16 ad/da is really good in quality?
And what is the best connection? through optical or through zlink?

Re: analog mixer direct outs to scope cards or A16II
I used the A16 as my mixer front-end, so I'd personally say yes, it is good!
If you can, I'd also suggesting using Z-Link over ADAT...you can go up to 96kHz without loosing any channels. (48kHz is the limit of ADAT, although ADAT can run up to 96kHz, but channel count is reduced to 4). The clocking is also VERY stable over z-link.

Sorry to be a little Overtopic
it's about the ferofish A16 MkII
Zlink is only on the "old" A16 Ultra isn't it ?
On the ferofish it's replace by MADI ?
I ask that because i d like to add 2 adat port to an Xcite and the only way is to add an A16 ultra.
the only way to connect a ferofish A16ultra mkII is adat (no MADI on Xcite, no Zlink on ferofish)
if i m wrong, please give me the light
Thanks
