Just curious who's making a living using our awesome platform. ,
I have some TV placements under my belt, this was before scope though, I'm currently floating in study on music theory, so once I'm back to making music for clients, i will be pitching for more film and TV ops, corporate life is no place for a musician, but well, real life does not agree
I have been making a return on invest since 2005.
I had 3 x machines w/ 45 DSP Type II for a while, realized they were so stable I didn't need the redundancy, so I used 2 and had one at home to practice on.
XITE-1 and Solaris have paid themselves off long ago too.
I have a kid who wants to buy one real bad as he is a DJ, and BitWig BETA tester. He wants to use a little laptop, 3 x 47 note keyboards, and the Livid Ohm.
I'll think he'll do pretty good. He makes about 800 USD per right now for 2 nights.
Not bad for a kid.
But he loves the Mixers and Effects in Scope, and wants to keep Live at home with a powerful PC, but use an XITE-1, Notebook and BitWig for the live gig.
But I don't know anyone in Vegas using Scope live, and rather they didn't, unless they're a DJ.
I prefer them all sounding like Omnisphere and Ivory.
Actually check out Billy Idols Russian tour where Solaris will be used with real hardware, roadies and all of the good old gear.
I have made a bundle off of Scope, it always works, sounds great on powered stage monitors, and is easy to control in realtime.
I've done a bunch of commercial projects with scope from TV to pop songs (in Tokyo), though alas my scope box died and now I'm fully native. Also I do music as a side thing.
For me it has been an integral part of my multimedia setup for almost 10 years already and it has paid itself 1000 times, so to say. I’ve done all sort of projects with it with perfect results for the client, I always get good comments on the quality of the sound I get out of it for presentations etc.
While everything gets better and better in terms of quality, PC, guitar, basses, synths, VSTis and sequencers for DAW, my Pulsar I Plus is still the best piece of hardware I have ever had, and it is almost all I need for a one-man-band I am.
