Resize Project Window ?

Post by MrV »

Hello , I have just installed Scope on a new system w 2 monitors and my existing projects won't display properly ... they are too big ... I can't access the top of the project window to grab it then resize everything ... Is there some simple way to resize this window? ... right now it's outside the top of my monitors... is there a key command where I can grab say the middle of a project window , or a bottom edge , and move it ? Cheers , Michael

Thanks Dante .... I've had a look thru those posts . Gee this seems like a design fault .. I cant believe it's such a hassle to resize a project window .. or in fact , not be able to !
Surely S|C can fix this so the window can be moved from any boundary !!! ( not just the top edge )

I have an idea though ... I will report back in here if it works . Cheers , M

changing the screen resolution helps sometimes.
this only happens when you change graphics cards. unfortunately, there's not an easy fix. the graphics elements are pretty old, they go back to the beginning and lots of things have changed since then. that's part of the reason for using other graphics elements in v6.

I remember having an issue where I went from two screens to one and SCOPE was no longer visible (I had it originally on the second screen).
Anyway, I cant remember exactly the fix, the posts are here
http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php ... 49#p127949.
Unfortunately the fix post is no longer here on Pz.
There is a tantalising clue :- something to do with Alt/Space M.
Not sure what it does anymore.

Ok thanks ..I'll try ... as soon as I can get my startup Scope project to actually display !

I loaded v4.5 as a fresh install yesterday on my new system w w2 monitors ...
Big problem I have now is ,,,upon rebooting .. I can't even get Scope to display ...
I brought in some extra devices and presets etc from my old v4.5 installation ..and there's
a presets dialog box that accompanies this to verify ... I clicked all those yesterday
I would have saved all that if If could have resized the project properly as well...but that didn't happen .

So today I am locked out of Scope totally ... clicking on Show|Exit Scope Platform on the
bottom right does nothing because there's that presets dialog box is waiting to be clicked "ok" etc
...jeeeeez what a mess !

Any suggestions ? ...apart from un-installing Scope , plugging my old monitors back in ,
re-installing Scope , resizing projects to Small ..Then putting new monitors back on ?

Or have I forgotten something really obvious ? :)

Cheers , M

Ok I got it ... I hit Ctrl/Alt/Del to close the "menu" window then it was visible .
Sheepdog then enabled me to move it down so I could grab the top .

Once again Gary you have saved the day .

You are surely our Guardian Angel here with Creamware / Scope / Sonic|Core ...
We shall all have to take you to Lunch one of these days ... or to Vegas :)

There's a problem though - Scope still has two display modes.

So....

Try this...

backup cset.ini file
open cset.ini and scroll down to lines that look similar to this:
(Note - I'm on Scope 5, so the exact syntax may have changed).

SFPRouting_Show=1
SFPRouting_PosX=20
SFPRouting_PosY=5
SFPRouting_SizeX=1521
SFPRouting_SizeY=1006

SFPRouting_TopLevel=0

and...

SFPDesktop_PosX=2
SFPDesktop_PosY=4
SFPDesktop_SizeX=1092
SFPDesktop_SizeY=624

SFPDesktop_Maximize=1

You do NOT need to use my numbers - as they are off my laptop where I sometimes use a Matrox TripleHeadToGo to span across 3 monitors when I'm in the studio.

I would just use smaller/lower numbers and see if Scope opens - even if it's smaller than your monitor resolution - just don't worry about it.

Then switch your Scope settings to CLASSIC Screen mode.

Then you should have the Scope 'Desktop' screen with a Scope routing window inside of it.

Then try dragging the Desktop window across both monitors.
Then try dragging the routing window to your desired size.

Then shut down and restart Scope and see if everything comes back.

Even at Scope 5, it's still a virtual display inside Windows, so it won't always obey any Windows settings anyways.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Siriusbliss I'll have a play with this .

I'm using the Matrox G550 w 2 monitors set so that Scope resides in the 2nd ( RH ) monitor only .

Was hoping to get away from Classic display mode due to strange anomalies in resizing ...

Still , I'll have a play with these settings , using my display sizes etc , see how it goes .

Regards , M
