Lost audio in and out
Lost audio in and out
Recently my system had a crash within Samplitude. Now i can't record into it or play any of the files that were already recorded from other sessions. My scope seems to be ok.I am running a simple set up,Two pulsar 2 cards. My routing is pulsar 2 Adat source to asio 24 bit dest .I also have a wave source and a asio source through a 4 channel mixer for play back. The weird thing is i can play my drum sample wave library fine.I have reinstalled Samplitude and checked all the hard connections. My pc was built with Recommendations from Gary B and does not have Internet.Should i try a scope reinstall?
Any help would be great.
I am on the verge of selling off the hole system if i can't get it working.

Re: Lost audio in and out
Hey James,
I too have just had issues with SAM Pro X and SCOPE 51. 64bit XITE-1.
My issues were different to yours.
It started when I swapped out the SCOPE ASIO in for another ASIO source and then I could not swap back!
I found I had the same issue with Reason, but Cubase 6 and Kontakt 5 worked fine (swapping in and out, etc)
Anyway in the end I disabled the SCOPE drivers and rebooted and let them load again and it sorted itself out.
I suggest you try that before blaming SAM.
Good luck.

My routing window is

also have a wave source stereo and asio source stereo to a den mixer and then to wave dest and pulsar 2 analog dest.

Re: Lost audio in and out
If something crashes Samplitude, then it SHOULD all come back to normal after a reboot of your PC and resetting the ASIO drivers in Samplitude.
Otherwise it's also often possible to shut down Scope and just reboot Scope and they should come back.
I've reported to Magix Samplitude development beta team that I'm seeing a difference in ASIO 'locking' stability in Samplitude 64-bit Win7 environment from the old 32-bit setup, where I never had problems switching ASIO channels or just resetting them.

Re: Lost audio in and out
Hi Greg,
I agree with all you said.
That has been my experience as well.
However recently I installed Magix Video Edit Pro MX and since then I had trouble when I swapped out the ASIO in SAM and then tried to put it back (which does not make a lot of sense I know as it does not have an ASIO driver, so it was probably unrelated).
Thats when I had to reinstall the SCOPE dirvers to get things to work properly again.
SAM has always been very forgiving prior to this as you stated.
Hopefully it is again.
Time will tell.

Re: Lost audio in and out
Well so far i have had no luck.I don't think it is a scope related problem.I can play cd's in the computer fine. The signal shows up in the dynamic mixer ok.Within Samp i can play my wave file drum samples ok also.It just won't play any of the recorded projects.I did another full uninstall and install of Samp.It made no change.I tried a Scope reinstall but I can't find my code to let the program run.Now what?Help.
I am guitar player first and a computer guy last so this is very frustrating for me.

Re: Lost audio in and out
you must have had a keyfile when you first installed Scope. where did it go?
does Scope run right now? if it does, then you HAVE the keyfile. copy scope.rgy from Scope\app\bin.
what version are you trying to install? if you have the keyfile, put it in a zipped folder and pm me with it.

Select the window you want to capture the screenshot of and then hold down 'ALT' and press 'Prnt Scrn'. (To state the obvious, 'Prnt Scrn' means Print Screen)jim901s wrote:Not sure how to post the screen shot.
Then open up the Windows program Paint (in Windows XP you can find that from 'Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint' or in Windows 7 it is at 'Start -> Accessories -> Paint') and then press 'Edit -> Paste (shortcut is Ctrl + V). This will paste the captured screen into Paint that you can then resize and save as a file for posting here.
If you want to capture the whole of your screen rather than just one particular window then you only need to press 'Prnt Scrn' then paste into Paint.
Hope that is useful
Re: Lost audio in and out

Save it as .jpg (JPEG).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
