Would be great if every one who is at NAMM could ask some of the plug-in and DAW vendors like PreSonus and the like for their plans of supporting OPEN SCOPE!
No, better ask all of them! :D

some pics.
I hope to post some videos later today or this evening - but the networks around here are very bad / congested.

Scope, open-Scope, and Xite ARE getting a lot of interest at the show.

Reaper and Fruityloops are open-source DAW's so you may have better luck with them. As Parseq grow's more mature and differs in unique ways from other DAW's i'm sure more DAW developers will be interested in intergrating SCOPE into their Hosts. You may need the first example and proof-of-concept tho to capture interests. Hopefully Parseq grows quickly before your ideas are stolen before you can use them (Uad Platform is copying SCOPE, see Apollo interface and their other accomplishments and plans).

Presonus has their own hardware interfaces to sell.

PS. i'm the one who could not receive your emails due to AT&T blocks.

Mattomat is the bomb for doing more than just seuquencing, it actually has DAW and hardware features like a single button push in sync from internal/external and really is grat way to avoid using a DAW for every task.
And if you are using the DAW live a progm chng message can be sent from DAW to trigger the MoMs, and all coneected devices as in synths, so it has many, possiblities....

Nice pics Greg,..........

But what I wanted to say, that seems to go have gone unnoticed is that I have played many multi band functions and they all require soundchecks one after another then return to play/record the groups.
Gary B has done this by himself, group after group then mixed, while bands tore down, then remade projects , brief soundchecks, and did it all over again , band after band.
Not only was proffessional experience, and diplomacy very noiticatble ( I personally I would have smacked a few of the bitches ) but I have been involved in these night mare scenarios before, and you just roll with it, we struggled just to get the gear into the building, and that seemed minor in comaparison to keeping a schedule as the audience is all talking to the band when they tear down, and most left to get a beer and chill before they even began tearing down.
Then they come back and rap to everyome and you can imagine the unexpected curve balls, and then asswipes (myself leaving & forgetting a merger box and spare CF Card for Solaris, just our naked stupidity, but you can make music or excuse. I think we did both........

Gary B played the role of FIH, mixer, MC, diplomat and sales rep all in one horur after hour.
I would have bben in the Orange County lockup without a doubt. He is a 100% por in ecevery aspect.
Look forward to hearing my mistakes....

Lots of Fun....Julain Thomas and Torre Sal were great guys and Alex was courteous to pretend he understood my limited German,....'
Great folks everywhere.
Nadia and the redhead were Presidential looking too. Serious Babraham Lincolns....
Universal Walk was the NAMM JAMM afterwards, those pics of plastered rock gods, and fans was a toal decadent American event above Tony Romas, and the upstairs room at the Rainbow, where even staright cats like me could enjoy the freak show.......

Gary ROCKS!!!

Running all these bands through Xite while also keeping the decibel police happy. NOT easy in a friggin' convention center.

It was great finally meeting Jimmy 'diaperJim' (inside joke) face to face and hear his playing on Xite and ModIV.

I'll be posting videos as soon as I get home later on tonight, since the bandwidth here is very limited.

Meanwhile here's some pics of Julian (ParseQ), Thomas (good vibes), and Gary. All great guys very devoted to the Scope cause!!!

Having met Julian at the show, I can assure you guys that Parseq will be a very cool DAW that can stand out by using the power of Scope.

Meanwhile I got the Magix / Samplitude / Sequoia guys interested for other reason I can't reveal at this time.

But overall I think this years' NAMM has been all about bundling and partnerships, so I think we'll see some great things coming out this year.

And yes, this is still a small, very dedicated team, so we'll have to be patient and supportive since there's a lot of work to do, and lots of feature-sets, etc. to prioritize.

It's all good.

Thought so from the ParseQ site, the discussion there has had me thinking its going to be a major part of the new thrust, and the one I'm most waiting to get my hands on for personal studio use.

Great pics thanks.

I did a brief video interview with Thomas, but ran out of time (and timing) to interview Julian.

I'll probably have to edit it a bit to isolate his voice and kill some of the background BS.
(some moron across the aisle had the shittiest sludgiest ugliest guitar stomboxes you've ever heard)

ALL the performances were very good - including a surprise performance from Holger and Cinja.

heading home now (at the airport)

GaryB, Julain and Thomas could start a group called the Spinach Chins...

FWIW, The Akai might be a good controller once I learn it's features more, tha manual was helpful as I read it on the way to NAMM on the plane, but I am still in shock as every year less features and more whistles are added to these plastic monsters.
The finest features, are having mulitple zones, not just a single split.
You activate the zone by a button push, then changing the global MIDI channel can pick which channel sends the prgm chng messages. It's like having a rack of samplers loaded and then you pick which ones to be heard.

For example having Bones and Tenor Sax on Channel one, Channel 2 gets added so trumpet section are added then the seperate lead trumpet to top off the section, etc.
These new controllers are basically split keyboards which just doesn;t make any sense.

I need to build my own I guess. I have gone from 16 zones ot 8 x 2 zones to 8 zones to 4 zones and I need a new replacement.

A split zone is yet another sorry step sown the ladder to pre programmed music where little room for improv on the fly is possible.

Rant over, great time in Anakeim and Hollywood. Walked in the surf while many had hoods and sweaters and acted cold, etc. What's the matter with these Putos...?

I also didn't get time to interview you Jimmy.
Too many distractions.
It would've been hysterical.
