sometimes i loose samplerate (and audio) and the lights on the samplerate box that detect spdif connections blink with nothing plugged in. i had this problem also on my old machine and now it happens on the new one too.
last time it happened on the spdif light of both the cards with i/o's ( i have pulsar2, pulsar1 and srb1). usually i have also messages of "lost contact with board0(pulsar2).
sometimes i solved it with master/slave switch, more than once.
in my old machine i solved it also by moving the cables . i usually have only one board's ins and outs connected so i tried alternatively both the connector cables to check them (cables of the package),but the issue is not related to that.
on my new machine the problem was still there, then i unscrewed and rescrewed the i/o daughterboard of my pulsar2 and didn't have this problem for a long while. but yesterday it happened again.
i've always thought that the different placement of stdm connectors of old and new boards cause a bad stretch to the stdm cable and maybe to the board placement.
but when i get samplerate again with just the master/slave trick it seems to be a software problem....
thanks for any reply,
ciao, alfonso.
