No Brainworx or SPL
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
Well, Im not sure it ever happens. I have asked for some functionality in the SDK for over 4 years now without success. And 99% of all developers want to code their algorithms in C/C++/asm - the SDK from UA could have been the best thing ever happened to the Scope platform. Just imagine all those developers that ports their algorithms to the Sharc DSP - XITE use the exact same DSPs, but it won't happen simply because we can't convince the management of S|C to open up the SDK.Sounddesigner wrote:Yes there are still some 'active' Third-Party developers for SCOPE and i'm sure many of the 'inactive' will be activated soon as various issues they have are solved (Are'nt you one of them?}.
That's an... ehm... understatement. You have no idea how far some developers have gone to help S|C, but...................Sounddesigner wrote:S|C being a little unresponsive does'nt warrant abandonment and intentional harm. I don't have all the facts...........
If you believe the future for Scope is depended on 3rd party support then we would need dramatic changes.
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
..or just a couple of devs building on thier joint strengths. I get the impression S|C don't need a truckload of devs at the moment - just one or two key dedicated ones - which is what I mean about the cream rising to the top. And thats only possible in a glass of milk, whether its half empty or half full.

DAS-TR1Ddante wrote:Transient Designer I'm not sure theres any other equivalent on Scope, since it can shape transients independant of thier loudness - eg a snare hit will be made shorter / longer by the same amount for a soft hit as it would for a loud hit.

Re: No Brainworx or SPL
Interesting I never noticed that one before, and its a freebie to boot - will check it out thanks.

Are you saying this DAS-TRID, is doing what you said the Transient Designer do for you on Snare.
You said it was doing cut off the room acustics like we do with there old analog gear.
We could not have that part from Ralf today.
Is this a new Das plugin for drums ,I dont follow here.

Sure thanks, but what is this about Brainworx.
We have been doing also bassmixing with BrainworxV2 this summer.
Have they left Scope with that one also ???
Of course I shall download the free DAS-TRID: D tomorrow

Re: No Brainworx or SPL
I have had this for years, I can't believe nobody ever cruised the site.
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
Did you mean DAS-TRID or Transient designer, because I am interested if we can use both the Attacker, and the DAS-TRIDXITE-1/4LIVE wrote:I have had this for years, I can't believe nobody ever cruised the site.
for Snare for example and maybe someone who have used says that its possible to turn off the attack on DAS-TRID,
before we test it here today.
I think we will use both attacks because we do feedback on the Snare and I think we have use for both then,
and maybe DAS-TRID has the cutt off we wanted here.
I mean it seems to be better than the Transient Designer ,
refering to the info above about the cut off .
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
Jimmy means he had TR1D for years Id say. Well TR1D has more parameters, so could maybe offer more control. One of the selling points of TD though is the simplicity of just 2 parameters. Sometimes its good to get a quick result. Thats not to say I wouldnt use TR1D instead though if I can get a better result !
Re: No Brainworx or SPL
The Attacker is needed and for us the TR1D works just great to amplifie the Snare with feedback. see pic.dante wrote:Jimmy means he had TR1D for years Id say. Here we just tested it, and we really need the attacker also.
Doing feedback we will put the Attacker in the feedback circel of course.

I just got Brainworx V2 for free also for our PCI system Scope,
but also a keyfile looking like this ( Scope-85E410Z0T_b_x2.rgy ).
Ralf is saying like this I have attached both versions the Scope 4 and Scope 4 keys.
I think he ment Scope 5 because the other keyfile says v5,
but what is this Scope 4 keys, is it all Brainworx or what,
because the older is sort of built into the V2
