Hy guys,
I switched from Athlon II x2 to Phenom II x6, all other remained the same: Win7 32bit, Scope 5, Cubase5. But now my Scope doesn't recognize audio at all! Though Cubase5 works normally..
Pls help
scope 5 can't play audio with 6 core CPU?

Re: scope 5 can't play audio with 6 core CPU?
It's not a problem of the 6 Core nor Cubase or Scope. I have the same setup, w/ Nuendo and Samplitude, works fine here.
Re-check your setup, Scope project, Cubase VST connection !
For a first try, start your scope project, start Cubase, switch the samplerate in Scope to 32000 and then back to 44100 or whatever you use !
Does cubase recognize the samplerate change?
I am sure this problem can be solved.

I have switched Pulsar card to another PCI slot and now scope works. Though it pops and crackles now more often.

turn off cpu power stepping in the bios.
also, is the card sharing an irq with anything? if so, what?

1.) Is it Qool n' Quiet option in BIOS?
2.)By looking at the IRQs list, it seems that Pulsar doesn't share his.

Re: scope 5 can't play audio with 6 core CPU?
yes, cool and quiet.
the way that that works is that the cpu is only partially powered up normally. that's why it's cool and quiet. when there's a load, the power ramps up in stages. the thing is that realtime audio requires the cpu to ALREADY be powered up. disabling that feature just means that you have full power at all times.

Well, I turned it off in BIOS and yes, no more pops and crackles during playing audio.
So.. problem solved, I guess.
Thank you very much for assistance.
