Re: RIP Steve Jobs...
Just read this sad news while browsing the z on my iPod, as so many million others have and will. A visionary indeed. RIP Steve.

Re: RIP Steve Jobs...
The passing of Jobbs is sad. His recent presentations were inspiring yet depicted the thought process of a visionary who had sensed the coming of his time.
It will be interesting to see how Apple will continue to function without its key person. It will be the ultimate test of risk mitigation.. I'm not sure if the risk can be mitigated. But the fact is, there now is a big void, and there will be a power struggle to fill it.
Apple has grown into a sort of national hero, making US the home of the next generation of home electronics.. a sort of post/anti Sony. I believe it is still very important for Apple to remain an icon, not too different from NASA's space program. The innovations coming from Apple is something to look forward to and aspire to. There are many fanboys out there who dream of working for Apple on the next innovative product. It's a forcing function to strive to be better, smarter, faster than the competition. The aggregate effect of something like that is hard to measure, but can create great positive change.
