Yamaberg Brings Us The Chinese Wafers

Post by dawman »

Is this what Yamaberg thinks of it's Userbase...?

Perhaps a Beige finish with perforations and sparkly specks of Salt..
Anyone remember that great flick " Fists Of Fury " where Bruce Lee seeks revenge for his teachers death, those controllers look like the glass jar that had the poisened crackers.
Maybe just some nice orange protective covers that look like Cheese...

well, it's very artistic and well designed.
if you've never used the studio before.

i do like the star trek styling, but it's obviously aimed at spoiled kids and guys who like to play studio. the idea looks cool, but the reality looks hokey to me.

Hhhmmm. After their history with Houston and Midex, I wonder if there'll support this in a few years' time? I would certainly not touch it after the Midex debacle (although there is finally an unsupported W7/64-bit driver): although being on XP still it actually didn't affect me. :D

i'm interested in the transport control and the ai control. those look useful to me, but i still think the products are pretty cheesy.

yeah, it's just that the hard and software already have dedicated handles.
they're pretty gimmicky, but for a couple of specific things, they might be useful if they're cheap. i'm sure that's why they're crappy. if they work as advertised(it's computer gear, so it's unlikely) and the price is reasonable, one or two of those items might be convienient. as you say, there's always iphone apps...

WROOOOONG !!!!!
Those who barely use them are part of the ones who don't automate them....
:D :D :D

They DO look cheezy, but seem to fit well between my many other gizmos.... size matters !!!
They managed to make the Q controllable after a pressure on the shift button though.... still not the perfect tool....
If it is not like automap (hardware focus on the open EQ), and if you still have to browse channels to control an EQ, it is much less sexy....
May be i'll get another EQ and automap it...... might be cheaper ;-)
still a good direction for cubase users....
must see how it works in real world.....

(ps: the "world divided into 2 parts" thing, is a reference to the Great Tuco in the good, the bad and ugly... he has 3 or 4 lines like that in the movie
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/The_Good,_ ... d_the_Ugly )...

Excellent movies....
I actually had to sneak out of the house to go an all Black neighborhood to see Bruce Lee movies. My parents grounded me once they found out. It was just a few years earlier that St.Louis was on fire from the MLK assasination.

Anyways afros were in style then, and we were the only white boys out of hundreds of other martial artists. When Bruce Lee was fighting Chuck Norris there were loud cheers like " Beat that white m'fer, etc. " and we slumped in our seats, and when I looked behind me it looked like hedgerows...... :o
Love those movies so much when I went to California to work in the summer when I was 16, we found endless Bruce Lee movies playing on E Street in San Berdu and had the time of our lives.
We fit right in with our tans as that crowd was all Mexicans.....

I can watch Bruce Lee movies still and know every word, actors names, etc.
Same with Spaghetti Westerns..

Hey maybe Yamaberg can make a Chinese Wafer for video so when me and my kid go to the movies, they can slow down the parts when Megan Fox slithers around, and slow down fight scenes more.

Coolness..

They actually wrote poems about and my Noon Chuck skills years back............
I use to wear a long sleeve shirt with one stick down the sleeve, and the other at the ready.
______________________________________________

It was a cold dark night on that last Halloween,
And Teamster Jim was-a-making the scene,
When out of the Alley jumped 6 bums with Knives,
And said gimme yo' wallet boy, or we'll poke out your eyes.

Blinding Black Fury, like the wind from a fan,
Big Jim said " Cmon Mutha Fuckers, and you'll be a dead man. "

Later on, One stick still black, one hung bloody red,
One bum still movin'................the other 5 dead.

Who da' man, who went ahead on, Who da man,
that took six and was gone,
With the rattle of the chain, and the clack of the wood,
O' Teamster Jim sure fucked 'em good.

Ankyu...
