Assuming i want to sync 2 scope cards, 2 a16 ultra connected through adat and a ua 2192 connected through aes/ebu.
Would i need an external clock (sync with wordclock) or can i connect all of them and let scope be the master internally?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Syncing adat and aes/ebu
Re: Syncing adat and aes/ebu
all the cards get clocked together when they're in the same machine.
yes, they can all be clocked with Scope as master, or either of the A16s can be master. as long as only one of the 3 systems are master and the other two are slaves it should work.

Re: Syncing adat and aes/ebu
Thanks for the reply.
So, to sum up, i connect the 2 a16 via adat and the ua 2192 via aes/ebu to my 2 scope cards and i just let one scope card be the master clock, right?

Re: Syncing adat and aes/ebu
yes, that's if the AES/EBU box and the ADAT box both have their inputs connected to the Scope output. if the AES/EBU device only has an output, it will have to be master. it doesn't matter that much, as long as there's only one master. making Scope master makes a lot of sense. that way if one or the other of the remaining two units are switched off, it won't affect the Scope system.
