ConvolveQ
_
A convolution between digitalaudiosoft and G.O.S.T.
ConvolveQ is a host based 64 band linear phase EQ.
It offers 4 displays to analyze the frequency spectrum and control it.
The ConvolveQ allows damping of single frequency bands up to 64 dB.
_ Create any filter response you like with a drawing tool
_ Tweak with the individual faders per band to perfection
_ Analyze the results on the fly
there is a limitted time offer at a very special price;

Awesome. Awaiting key...
Re: ConvolveQ
Ive been stuck in a riverboat for a while and felt like I was in a time warp back to the late 1800's...
Count me in but wont be back to the civilized world until the 18th.....
Beautiful,
Nice to see the progress over there.

Re: ConvolveQ
Looks cool.
Nice to see new stuff coming along.

Re: ConvolveQ
Starting all faders at minimum (entire mix silent), then using the drawing tool in linked mode, you can sweep from low to high gradually bringing a dance mix back into play bottom frequencies up (so the kick/bass come in first). Its a very smooth curve due to the resolution given by the 64 bands.
Re: ConvolveQ
added a new link to the SC site in first post__
assign midicontroller to the faders;
record your sweep;
now you may tweak the midifile to perfecton;
so that the sweep fits perfecty to you music;
as 128 controler are avail you are able to realize different sweep for left and right channel 64*2=128__
for example right channel starts with low frequencies left with high_
good vibes

Re: ConvolveQ
Looks very interesting indeed and I look forward to giving it a go
Thanks DAS and GHOST

Re: ConvolveQ
Thats a good one - reverse vs forward sweep in stereo. Once controllers are in DAW, use quantise to smooth the curves. I'm fairly sure Cubase allows quantise on CC's - will try it.tgstgs wrote: assign midicontroller to the faders;

Re: ConvolveQ
tested it.....
sound quality good.
first impression.....
extremelly sluggish performance of leds and i must say...... BAD GRAPHICS.....
they can make an update though i guess

Re: ConvolveQ
Not sure what more could be done with graphics, 64 bands is 64 bands
But some extra control could be good.
For example, if mouse wheel was 'Q' factor such that the draw tool could also affect the bands each side (in a bell shape) - if desired - this could be cool.

Re: ConvolveQ
8192 to 16384 point fft means that the grafics are updated all 8192 samples;
this is the same on all fftanalyzer;
the higher the resolution the slower the display_
check with any fft analyzer but select 8192 point fft at least to compare_

Re: ConvolveQ
the sliders... are too tricky( you select a slider and you are not sure if you grabbed it.. especially on full info mode... compared to classic 32 band eq.
also.. i do not see ant db metering... it seems too abstract

Re: ConvolveQ
The dB measures are at the sides - to the left and right in Draw mode.

yes you have 2 PIXEL more per fader on the graphgeq _31_band;
but you do not need to select the triangle like you need to select the knob of the fader in grapheq;
anywhere in the red rectange would do the job;
as well as the faders in analyzermode;
so in total there is a bigger target;
anyway im happy you liked the sound_
thanx 4 testing vibes

Re: ConvolveQ
It looks like you used 64 bins in this FFT to show the analysis, so this is the same as what the filter is seeing? What does it look like with 1024 or 8096 bins? BTW - They do look like really clean transitions...this has to be the most surgical of (frequency) filters for scope!tgstgs wrote:_

Re: ConvolveQ
if you mean the pics -> they are done with my old wa*lab;
showing a fast made frequencyresponse of convolveQ_
if youre talking about convolveQ display i would call it a summary of whats happening behind the surface;
we are dealing with N/2 magnitudes and about the same number of phase_
at 44k1 and 48k we use N=8192
at 96k -> N=16384
with just 64 binfrequencies you would NEVER get such a result_
good vibes
add:
do you have a 8192 or even 16384 pixel wide display??

@Music Manic
sorry i overread your post_
yes you can do with a sinsweep as well;
please have in mind that the lenght of the sweep is in relation to the kernelsize;
in this case it is a very big kernel__
