Hi,
Is there anyone using 3xPCI (i.e. 3xPII) and 2xPCIe (2xUAD) togther in a single PC? I don't want to run 2 PCs.
I want to upgrade my DAW to a more modern machine (P35, P45, X38, X48, 1155, 1156, 1366 etc). I have tried Ibit IP35Pro and Asus P7P55 but they crash because of IRQ problems.
Any help would be well appreciated, hanx
Regards,
CGF

Re: 3xPCI and 2xPCIe togther
Hi,
No one uses 3xPCI with 2xPCIe cards in one machine?
I must be the only one that keeps and uses their old computer gear, LOL
I will just keep them in my old machine (Supermicro H8DCE) for the time being, cheers
Laters,
CGF

Re: 3xPCI and 2xPCIe togther
Hi All,
I found a motherboard that will work with '3xPII' and '2xUAD1 PCIe'. Here's the link:
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55-CD53.html
Running 'Reaper 3.74' and 'Scope v5.1 x64' on '64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate'. Seeing all 8GB of RAM. Also works perfectly with Cubase 5.1 (recently sold
)
No crashes or spikes:
Only problems are software related:
1) Can't load modules into Modular
2) VDAT doesn't work
3) STS5000 not stable
4) Weird error about not the correct preset file for some reverbs
Hopefully I'll be able to sort these out?
Have a look at the screenshot for more info

Re: 3xPCI and 2xPCIe togther
i'm glad you've gotten it going.
as to your errors, some or most will be cured by running Scope as administrator(right click on the desktop icon and choose "run as administrator"). the preset file might be fixed in a later version, you may be able to cure the message(which is meaningless) by creating a new preset bank for the reverb(masterverb, right?).

Re: 3xPCI and 2xPCIe togther
I wonder if this will run 3 x Scope Pro PCI cards and 1 x XITE-1 PCI-E on the same board. Will have to read up the specs a bit but might be worth a shot.
Good to know that it works fine for you CGF.
