I am considering buying a SRB to go with my Pulsar II card....

But before I do, I thought I would ask to see if anyone was using multiple cards with SFP 3.1 on Macintosh?

Any problems (other than the ones that we have already outlined). Any conflicts with multiple cards?

Thanks for the info!

Cheers

hi
I use Piulsar1+LunaII successfuly. I even had an extra Pulsar1 SRB in my setup (3 card system) which worked great (under 2.04 - it was about a year ago)

Hi samplaire what latency could you get? How often did dsp errors occur?
Thinking of going to a multi card setup myself.
Thanks in advance

All the time 4ms@44.1kHz. I use 16bit asio. I setthe samplarate once an install and forget about the setting. Perhaps I could get 3ms but I don't see any need for it. And I can load about 5 masterverbs (then system becomes vvveeerrryyy slow if I run Cubase). I usualy don't use to much masterverbs, though.

I gget pci errors only while loading large projects over similar ones. And also after loading 6th or 7th masterverb.

Ah you see we run a multimedia business in house making video edit machines.
We hope to be selling G4 1ghz machines in a few months as DAW's.
Now a dual 1ghz would be a sight to see running creamware stuff with dual apple cinema displays ala namm brochure.
But a pipe dream considering the current state of affairs with regard to creamware OSX and duals.

Newer Macs (133MHz systems, mine is 100MHz) have better pci bandwidth so perhaps also can manage more masterverbs.

I run 2 pulsar II cards.
software 3.1
on a dual 800 Quicksilver
768 ram OS 9.2.2.

The puslar runs like a dream.
i run the pulsar OS on the AGP
Gforce2 screen.

and i got another PCI graphic card
that I use 2 monitor, on that I run
Cubase VST 32 5.1.

small probs when running them together.
, but I think it is VST probs nor pulsar.
I can live with it.

Thanks for the info, its nice to know that I don't have to wait for OSX support for the mac.
But I don't think I'll be getting the test machine just yet
