I am back snivelling again.
Here's the problem.
I have installed iTunes on my internet DAW, and successfully found the bull shit songs I must program, reherse then perform.
I noticed they are mpeg4 files.
I tried to use the Wave 24bit Source Module connected, and then click on the songs but there is a problem.
Do I need a special app to play these files in a Scope Project..?
I use to import mp3's and the Wave 24bit Source Module was all I needed to playback an mp3.
Any help would be appreciated as I have just spent 60 bucks downloading tunes and have two weeks to write the charts and record the mock ups.
Ankyu for any assistance..
Wave 24bit Source
Re: Wave 24bit Source
did you try the 16bit Wave module as well ? you'll hardly find any dynamic beyond 12bits in those records anyway
It's been a while since I had iTunes on the Scope system, but iIrc I had the 24bit version in use, too. Can't remember differences between Wave sources.
At least not regarding audio playback... embedded audio in video streams seems different, tho.
There's also the DirectSound-Source if the Wave things fail.
Just in case... you have Quicktime installed (?)
or rather did you set the device in the Quicktime control panel (in System settings) ?
cheers, Tom

Re: Wave 24bit Source
I won't even be needing the Wave 24bit Source anymore.
I found out that iTunes is Mpeg4 so I got a free mpeg4 to mpeg3 converter, and then use Reaper as a rehersal tool with markers.
I could have downloaded the music free but I decided to support the ancient artists and just use iTunes. Besides, my son used Frostwire and it Windows wouldn't let him log back in and it costed me money since it was a Dell that passed its warranty.
Reaper is perfect.
I can play it back CHief.....

Re: Wave 24bit Source
How do you set up a Pulsar 2 with Scope 4.0 to use Direct Sound? I don't see any Direct Sound sources.
Re: Wave 24bit Source
wave modules...
Re: Wave 24bit Source
Jimmy,
Does iTunes have an option to select an audio output? Then set it to Scope from there. If it doesn't, make sure Scope is set up as Windows' default sound card.
Needless to say you have to at least stop all Windows audio clients, like iTunes, to load another project. Even worse, you'll have to at least close firefox tabs that contain flash players (youtube, soundcloud?), or exit ff completely then when the project's reloaded, open ff restoring all tabs.

[edit] Just as for the Seq MIDI Src/Dest modules, I strongly advise to max out all Wave Src/Dest modules as set in Scope's driver properties.
