Stretch samples box in Pulsar properties

What would happen if I unchecked this box?

I think 22.1kHz samples would be played at half speed when clock is set to 44.1?

If I remember well, that must be under Win98 only, WinXP doesn't have/need the option. It's best to leave auto stretch on. Songs/samples at samplerates other than the one selected in Samplerate, played in common players, will then be played back at correct speed/pitch.

Is this undocumented, I didn't find a reference for it in the manual.
