Hi,
I used to be able to link directly to a forum topic like this:
http://www.planetz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29264
Now this link is giving me a 404 not found - I'm assuming that I'm now required to add the forum
http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=29264 id as well as the topic.
Any idea when this might have happened - certainly sometime since June of this year.
John - do you know if this can be fixed? Or do I have to insert f=15 in my existing links to fix them?
Thanks,
Ben

It would have probably happened with the update to phpbb3, as this is one of the changes with v3. There might be a way to translate it on the fly using rewrite mod in htaccess/apache but you'd probably have to dig that out of the phpbb guys or someone good with natural language rewrite mods to htaccess.

Ah, yes, the problem is actually that I can't use this url
"http://www.planetz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29264"
but must use this one instead:
Yes, valis you must be right - no longer phpBB2, but phpBB3, so old URL's no longer valid.
Simple enough to fix at my end....

The same goes for the RSS... all from forums.planetz.com for a month or so...
Oh right, for your modulars page that's quite a switch - all them patches and stuff linking here!

Simple Find and replace has sorted it out very quickly.
Lots of other dead links though to old Creamware pages, etc, which do need tidying up.
It's a slow process....
