yeah, the tea party isn't where it's at, but a lot of people would like the idea that the USA would fulfill it's supposed purposes and principles. naturally, the so-called tea party itself is run by shrewd men with clowns and dancing girls to absorb that energy for ending corruption and the establishment of fair play, and dissipate it in flashy displays with a patriotic band.

it's pretty much the same thing that happens everywhere else to some extent or another. corruption and stupidity are the natural product of civilization. just like with more familiar forms of corruption like cockroach infestations, things must be cleaned out once in a while, and a real effort must be made to avoid leaving vermin attractants like old fast food trash, empty(or worse half full) beer bottles, and unwashed dishes everywhere. of course, the problem with this analogy is that people really do need to be grownups about these kinds of things and most are looking for a nanny that will allow them to stay children.

the question was, "who would win an election between two equally well funded candidates, when one was honest and the other was a sociopath?". the obvious answer is that the sociopath would win, just like in any other business. since the sociopath has no real regard for others, except in relation to power, he will certainly do ANYthing he must, to achieve his ends. i made that point to say that corruption is to be expected, it's those that really believe that their "betters" or the "best and the brightest" are working for their benefit that are in denial of the truth and that's not just speculation. in this country, mechanisms were put in place to disrupt the direct path to tyranny, the first of which is the arming of the citizenry. unfortunately, people are gullible, and with promises of tender care, most of these mechanisms to prevent tyranny have been dismantled, the second most important being a system of government where the federal government is weak compared to the local and where gridlock is the order of the day. these days, the voters are told they need people who can "get things done" and after many years of "getting things done", people aren't really better off leaving their homelands to come here. real wealth is built in your own backyard, not globally, which isn't to say that doing business and having close relationships globally is a bad idea, far from it! it's just best when the local economy is strong within itself, so that everyone who wants work can find it if he needs it, so that the local needs aren't sold out to someone with no love from far far away, so that people can have their little bit of property(or more if they earn it and i'm not talking about something given by the state!), where they can sit and whither or plant a garden if they really don't want to do anything.

obviously, you're not actually trying to understand my words, because if you did, you'd know that i consider fox news to be garbage. that doesn't mean that there is nothing true on fox, it just means that the slant is so extreme, that as a whole, it's useless as a method to stay informed on actual issues. it's great for celebrity gossip and high-tech news for people in their 70's though. all the news providers are fox. entertainment is big business and news is entertainment. Well, I mostly agree to that, although I still hope that a more human driven system will make it in the future, where money is not the most important thing in life.
