Bingo! This is the point that has gone overlooked for so long. I do believe if a company gives you free drivers updates it is a gift and when customers stop seeing it as a gift and rather choose to see it as something owed to them it only shows they're not deserving of that gift. If a company does'nt choose to give such a gift and customers complain and attack it only shows they don't deserve the gift anyways. If a person thinks such updates is truly owed when not given then take your case to Court and get laughed at. No contract stating such is owed then nothings truly owed. What you buy at the time of purchase is all that you paid for, if you have what you paid for then no one has done you wrong.
EDITED
1. nobody claims that soniccore should provide updates free for ever.
2. to have pc cards that cost 4000 euros... free support released and porovided free by the companies(soniccore for ex.) is what the companies and IF they can afford it.
3. no company makes gifts.
it is completely theoritical and in that point of view... gift can be even the aura that is created by a singer when he sings in audience.
so... personally, i admire soniccore nomatter if it is composed by few people, even more this way, but.... I AM NOT FOOLED to bellieve that companies make gifts.
i will accept the upgrade and pay for it as owner of scope 5.
the same i did from scope 4 to scope 4.5(this one was less importand)
but.....NO GIFTS MAN....
if soniccore stops supporting.... i will accept it (after ww3 her

e in Z offcourse) and i will work with other hardware.
basically i am a musician... and in our proffession when the recital ends... we sing 2,3 songs or ar

ias.. FOR GIFT!!!!
and also it is how things work in general and what seems normal.
for instance... if you have bought scope 5, 1 month ago(not me) is it considered a GIFT the scope 5.1 upgrade if it comes free?????
