Scope works fine but no other applications do

the standalone app would still use the sequencer midi source and dest modules. for audio, the app could use either asio or wav modules. think of the modules as the hardware jacks for the app, as though the app were a piece of hardware.

Depends what you mean by 'standalone' - if for example you wanna play a Scope synth live, not using sequencer, then would be something like :

MIDI keyboard => Scope MIDI Source => Scope MIDI Synth In => Scope Analog Dest.

Just add more midi "i/o" in the windows driver (or use the handy scope i/o enabler app to increase the count) and add more sequencer source/dest pairs to the routing window. They go ONLY to software...and back from same.
