USING PULSAR II (SCOPE 4) WITH MYTEK WORKSTATION 24 AD/DA

Post by quantum »

I have Pulsar 2 connected to and enslaved by Mytek Workstation24 through SPIDF. Connected to Mytek's analog inputs is an external mixer's output. The problem is that whatever is coming through the Mytek A/D only shows up on Pulsar 2 STM mixer's input channel, but not on the main output channel. Basically, I'm trying to record external gear through the Mytek A/D and then digitally into Pulsar 2. Right now I have an ASIO1 32bit source, Wave source, and SPIDF source connected into the Pulsar 2 STM mixer with main out going to SPIDF destination and then into Mytek D/A for monitoring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like an STM issue: did you mute the channel? Is the channel sent to the Master output of the STM - switch on the 'green' button under the channel's volume fader, next to the Solo Defeat button?

How about connecting the ASIO Dest straight to the S/P-DIF input? That bypasses the mixer which is an extra step that isn't really needed... You can of course keep the S/P-DIF input on the mixer too, for monitoring purposes: to check the signal level etc.

Thanks alot for answering. I figured out the problem. The Mytek has an INPUT and COMPUTER monitoring switch and it was set to monitor the computer
