Bad awakening after a prolonged setting in a stand-by mode !

Post by babaorum »

hello,

with my new config I have an issue with scope v5.2617 :
after a prolonged setting in a stand-by mode, there are 2 error messages :

- A communication error with Luna (brd 0) has occured. This problem can normally be corrected by reloading the DSPs. Do you want to try that ?
--> I clic 'yes'

- Copy protection violation! Don't mess around with the copy protection! Restart the program to continue
--> I clic 'ok'

after these messages, the scope is unstable and a big noise appears in the aux bus of the STM 1632 (only in the aux !!!! ???) and after a moment it seems like become normal ...

(windows 7 (32) - asus P6T - core i7 920 - luna II + pulsar II - 6Go RAM)

Has anybody experienced this pb ?

Scope won't sleep. close Scope if you are going into standby. Scope wasn't made to be a general purpose windows soundcard, although it does that job well.

yes but it's not very friendly ... and so when you want to stop windows scope (if it's open) prevent the stop. It's not catastrophic but just irritating ...

When using a PC for music you should disable all the so-called 'environmental' controls - do you really want your computer to decide to sleep the drives because you haven't used them for a bit?

If you want to help energy consumption switch the computer OFF.

to be honest, I guess it's maybe more 'environmental-friendly' to keep the drive spinning instead of buying a new one every year or so.... :D

cheers, Tom
