Well I can see I opened a can of worms here, I think when this thread reaches critical mass, maybe John can forward it to creamware support.
I can just thought DXl must be itching to poke fun, can you imagine that if he was still here?

I can confirm the textbox problem, this is a howler on cw's part really as they had a similar problem on v3.

The modular error message I can confirm, along with seq remote.

Anyone apart from Topaz have random base.dll errors? (I think this is my problem not cw's)

Problem: XTC midi in's and out's do not work in cubase, when however they work in direct mode.
Is this a problem from a previous version? Is there a workaround? Send me a PM. Thanks

System: As above
Confirmed?: Not as such but similar problems experienced by four users on creamwares forum.

Possible solution from another thread:

Fredo replied this at the CW forum and it worked for me:
For me it works in XTC mode. But every time i start Cubase i have to reset the devices. Then Midi works. (Optionen- Geräte zurücksetzen)
Really sorry to see you guys having problems, everything works nearly perfect here on SCOPE/SP, so perhaps its a simple installer issue? And that text box thing simply must be fixed ASAP, funny that I didn't run into it...

Link to thread with pics of the "Classic" mode problem (workaround: use the "Standard" now, it has faster graphics)

Hi guys, mmm I dont want to cause any bad feelings amongst CW beta testers but maybe they need to recruit some more, it seems sandrob and many others are finding these problems in hours?
im of coarse assuming nobody in this thread is actually testing but by the looks of things they should be.

these gfx abnomilies and base.dll crashes using txt boxes never came up in any betas?

are all the testers using indentical systems ?

sorry if this rambles anyone.

My STW bundle refuses to register. So all of my old projects refuse to open. That's my priority now: STW registering.

Most of the problems I experienced this morning, I caused up myself: I had given a new letter to the drive containing my XP temp folders. Bad bad thing. Adjusted my temp folders, many things installed a whole lot better now

Ok guys try this in the new standard mixer stm1632 go to the aux page, unclick the button that says 'Int.' And in the routing box in one of the aux send channels on that page right click and try to route something. Like me you should an exception.

Keep in mind STW promised v3 compatibility a few months back. Hopefully that helps the issue. I haven't even tried to reinstall my STW yet, maybe this evening...

ok sub, let me know how you did w the STW! Current all seems to work fine, if I make new projects.

Remixme: The STM 1632 mixer AUX problem:
insert an effect in the provided space inside the mixer too, then it connects. Depressing the Int knob doesn't bypass the internal aux space. Connections stay open, fill them... I know, it's just a bypass to your problem, depends on how the manual sees it weither it's a bug or not

I've mentioned this in another thread, but you can't read an Akai cd with the SFP filebrowser. This happens with Windows XP (W2000?).

Same here, I tried to Sub's trick, to copy samples to disk, again but it hung/paused... then I have to force SFP closed.

Another odd little thing:

I was messing about last night trying a couple of ideas out for a track - loaded the ADAT modules in then realised that the basic mixer has no busses so I clicked in the live bar and replaced it with the trusty old pulsar mixer (or whatever its called now) - loaded in STS3000p - shoved a couple of infiniti2 (wavelength) into some inserts on the mixer. Somewhere in all of this I lost the little green routing arrow in the live bar for the mixer - not a huge problem because you can get to the routing lots of other ways but still a pain.

Running Pulsar 2, Win2k, SFP (obviously).

cheers

mark

Not so important, but I cannot replace devs (synths) by keeping CTRL pressed while dropping one onto another, "is there something I should know"?

Thnx
Fede

P.S: about beta tester, I hate to say, how is it possible nobody found anything malfunctioning?

Well I have to say, it's almost impossible to find every bug and some of these combinations to get bugs now seem fairly involved.

However, I'm stumped that the text box one didn't come up in beta testing. I mean that's a show stopper I would have thought.

In fact, any bug that makes the program go crash boom would have to be show stoppers wouldn't they?

And that classic mode problem seems a bit of a disaster. At least you can use the new way of working though I guess.

Hey Sub! You said Scope/SP is smooth yeah? You haven't had any problems? Seeing as I have a Scope card, your findings are pretty relevant to me.

the first time i use SFP, there was a pull down menu for the midi channels on the live bar. now it is gone!(it was only there the first time before i rebooted) and i have to use the up/down mouse thing, which usually results in it turning into a typing box. luckilly i can change midi channels on the synths, but # of voices is a pain.

when I hover the mouse near the live bars always on top or close button the routing window comes to the front and becomes "always on top"

not confirmed with anyone
