Hi,
I own a system with V4 (Pulsar2+P1+P1) and a system with V5 (Scope14+P1).
I try to migrate to the V5, but every project I try to load brings requests for licence-files. If I offer the V5-file again, it says "ok", but doesn't load.
Not even some simple devices like midi or small mixers are willing to load.
Did SC break the compatibility with the exisiting V4-world ? (This would be a catastrophy for me.)
V5 unsuitable for existing V4 projects ?

did you rename your v4 folder? if not, the projects will try to load v4 files and things won't work right...

Re: V5 unsuitable for existing V4 projects ?
yes, i renamed all old directories.
One major problem is the missing of bigmixer. I try to offer license files from 4, 4.5 and 5, but none seems to be ok.
But not even a simple device lika a midi-merger can be loaded from the old versions. ( no license)
One more strange thing:
as i used to run scope in classic-screenmode, I now must switch to standard, otherwise my miniscope shows up without background, so I have fully functional buttons, but no possibility to move the device on the screen ...

yes, the bugmixer probably won't work anymore. luckily, it's the worst mixer....
the midi merger should work. you can always reload that. i think the classic screen does have that bug...

Re: V5 unsuitable for existing V4 projects ?
Whats wrong with bugmixer ? The only reason I stopped using it is that it only shows 4 channels at once when the STM will show 24. But I liked the EQ showing on every channel of the bugmixer, unfortunately the width of it is probably what excluded it from '24 channel at once' width.
Re: V5 unsuitable for existing V4 projects ?
the bugmixer has phase issues, otherwise it works fine.
the stm mixers sound worlds better and the 2448 and 4896 are quite easy to use once you get busy with them. the stm2448 and 4896 have superior features as well, imo.

Yeah. STM works great with the BCR2000...(I never found a way to get the BCR2000 to toggle which 4 channels are showing on the bugmixer).
