Spri Ball

Post by dawman »

I recently realized my ass is starting to hurt becasue my chairs are so old and wooden.
Even the barstool I use to semi sit while I program my 6 foot DAW is as bad as concret. S0 I bought a 44" Spri Ball and I rill around on it becasue its fun, its good excercise IMHO and since I started taking Assafs Modular classes I find myself going back and forth from a stand up DAW to a sitting PC for the internet.
But I just saw a guy on TV promoting Spri Balls for excercise and realized just by sitting on this tall bastard I can roll between both computers while learning and practicing, and also this is considered a great core excercise......
They are so comfortable too.
Any other FAT BASTARDS out there should try this too...

Hate to say this, but way ahead of you on that one. I had my old back-ball leftover from my last accident (2002?) and find it to be good posture-relief to periodically swap it out for my studio chairs. I'm always worried about it springing a leak too but I think I go through a chair every 9-15 months while that thing has lasted 8 years and 2 sets of cat claws (both of which are still alive and share the room with the ball to this day.)

I'm sitting on a big yoga ball as I type this. I switch off with an ergonomic desk chair.

It's helped relieve my bad back over time, and forces me to move around. Also helps strengthen the core.

I'm sure the Trim don't mind either  Having the core in balance and all that...
