Not bad !!
This should been released some years ago, before to find already multi articulation Kontakt bank... Some years ago, the (for example) slide, sustain, mute bass articulation were on different sample bank and 'mind control' would be convenient but now, the sample banks are ready with all the articulations inside... Like the excellent beautyfull Scarbee bass libraries.
But it's very insteresting, and not expensive, I think to buy it...

yes, I've seen this, and it's interesting, but WAY too time consuming and geeky to setup all the articulations. That is, unless it comes pre-articulated.XITE-1/4LIVE wrote:http://www.orangetreesamples.com/

I'd rather just play the real thing

I'm thinking about getting the bass. Does it do the articulations with look ahead like Synful Orchestra does? The free Kontakt player I have is only 32 bit I think but I have two versions of Cubase installed.

First of all, thanks for mentioning the product, Mind Control!
Even with sample libraries which include all the articulations scripted, you can use Mind Control to switch between entire instruments. For example, between a fingered and picked version of a bass. You could also use it to swap out a snare in a drum library, by using the pitch condition (set to the snare MIDI note). Although there are a lot more sample libraries with scripted articulations, I still occasionally run into libraries which have separate patches per articulation. A lot of orchestral samples are this way.
A few other cool things is that you can double-click on an patch loaded into the instrument bank, and edit its specific settings. You can also drag in .wav files, which would be great for loops or adding miscellaneous effects.
If you have a lot of articulations, it might take a while to set up, but you can get it set up exactly how you want--it'd be great for live performances, for example.siriusbliss wrote: yes, I've seen this, and it's interesting, but WAY too time consuming and geeky to setup all the articulations. Are you talking about one of the Orange Tree Samples basses, or Scarbee's bass that JoPo mentioned?braincell wrote:I'm thinking about getting the bass. mindtree, I guess you press keys or something? It's easier just to use separate channels for me.
