Has anyone tried this?
Used to have a scope pro card.
Could never get it to work in XTC mode with no i/o.
People on the forum have got the 6 DSP card working with by shorting a jumper (which one ?)
Now, if you connect a 14 DSP card to a 6 DSP card via a STDM cable.
Then short out the jumper on the 6 DSP card for using the I/O on say protools or another sound card.
Does it work?
Can someone try this please!
regards,
James

Hi,
I have a 14 & 6 dsp card connected via STDM used in conjunction with a Yam DS2416. Connecting pins 2&3 on the Pro card allowed both cards to be used in XTC without i/o.
If you search the forum there is a link to a document detailing getting the best out of XTC mode which details the above.

Can the 14DSP card be used on its own in XTC mode without I/O by connecting pins 2 and 3?

Hi,
what forum should this post be in then.
Also what is the search string to find the thread you are referring to?

This will do the trick:

Yes a 14 dsp card can be used by shorting the same pins - you can then use it for XTC only.

He he.
I'm getting the feeling that scope cards still have a problem when running in a real dual processor system, especially with other cards like a Protools HD core, Powercore and UAD all at the same time.
I had problems before with my Asus PC-DL.
I might stay away from Scope until the problems are fixed.
I was hoping that they would be fixed in Scope 5.
Am I wrong?
