SCOPE normal AND XTC mode TOGETHER!!
SCOPE normal AND XTC mode TOGETHER!!
there must be a hybrid environment for using benefits of both at the same time.

If your host can handle routing out to external hardware, then you can leave Scope in 'normal' mode, and then just route out/insert the 'external' devices that way.
I've been doing it this way for years now.
But yeah, the current VSTim scheme will probably be enhanced in the future.

Re: SCOPE normal AND XTC mode TOGETHER!!
Workin' in normal mode and insert external devices is a waste of time and xtc doesn't work.
I would like to have a real integration in cubase or in other
sequencer.
I just use my cards for routing or recording.
I hope somethin' change in a near future, i would like to
invest for a real use of the soniccore platform.

Re: SCOPE normal AND XTC mode TOGETHER!!
Interesting suggestion. One that I agree with. I've never run my system in XTC mode but there have been plenty of times I wish I could do both. At least in my situation, I've found that the hybrid approach of running Scope in normal mode and using VST plugs in my DAW seems to work OK. The majority of my projects here seem to hover around 24 tracks or less so I can easily use the 24/96 or 48/96 mixers with full complement of effects for most of my mixing needs. When the track count exceeds 24 tracks I just start to use whatever VST plugs come with Sonar or Samplitude and they work and sound fine to my ears. Seems like the quality of VST devices has improved a lot over the past few years. With 64 bit on the horizon I assume it will eventually get even better.

VSTim (XTC) mode should work with Cubase OK with the latest release, no?cannonball wrote:Workin' in normal mode and insert external devices is a waste of time and xtc doesn't work.

could, might.....

Re: SCOPE normal AND XTC mode TOGETHER!!
my dream is to open vst plugs in scope mixer
that way we get all our vst plugs+ the great 24/96 mixer which i still think has some unknown filter/tone that sounds awesome.

That would suck without any PDC.
