Yes, it was the experts who told us we were about to have a swine flu pandemic. Now it seems everyone is overstocked with vaccine. OK different area, but the principle is the same: don't trust scientist just because they say 'you can trust us, we're educated.'

yes.
besides that, the exact opposite is actually true. the overwhelming majority of scientist DO NOT think global warming from man made CO2 is a grave concern. the actual human production of CO2, while a large number is actually less than .1 of 1% of all greenhouse gases. the earth's atmospheric CO2 is actually at the lowest level in the history of the planet(well, not the lowest in the last 30years, but compared to the age of the planet).

here's a repost of some pretty graphs. you'll notice there is NO direct correlation between temperature and CO2:

The only thing I can really bring out of all this is that politics trivialises everything.

I've seen a number of climate change-sceptic links from right-wing papers (Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail) - publications I cannot trust at all.

Equally, it tends to be the left-wing press that jumps on the other side.

There is such a huge amount of disinformation out there that figuring out the real truth is absolutely impossible.

Those in power know that the people are ideologically divided, and fighting each other is more important to them than the truth anyway.

a dutch ministers reasoning was this:
- my pile of documents prooving me right is bigger then yours prooving me wrong, I'll stick with the big pile.

Debating is pointless since we are no experts. IMHO the best thing we can do is discuss these things and tune our perspectives.

actually, it's simpler than that, and it's not that hard to be an "expert". many of these "experts" have done little or no actual investigation themselves. look, the data is real or not, and in this case, the data is admittedly phony. there really isn't any "debate'", except in the minds of those who haven't done any actual investigation. the only debate is over who will get lucrative grants and other funding.

again, if man-made "greenhouse gasses" are the cause of "climate change", then explain the midieval warm period and the "little ice age" that followed in that context. where were the greedy midddleclass and their suvs then?

The definition of "elite" is "the best". That is a good thing. Pretty funny how some people tried to make it into a bad word. That is what you would expect from the ignorant masses. They don't trust people from ivy league schools who actually have goals in life beyond working for the corner gas station. Wake up! Time to join the rest of the civilized world!

yes, they call themselves the best. of course, according to braincell, the thing to be most feared is an "inbred". how amusing it is that the most inbred humans on the face of the earth(they even write whole books detailing every inbred family line possible to prove it, because they're just that proud of it), are the "elite". the only thing elite about such people is that they are few in number.

oh and btw-there's still no possible response to the smoking gun on the co2 fakery, or a proper explanation of the midieval warm period or the little ice age following, assuming that there ever was something like "stable climate".

Past climate changes can be measured in several ways. Such measurements concur with each other which is why we think they are accurate. Climate shifts take place over thousands of years not hundreds of years!!!

Here's a link that can assist those who have difficulty reading more than the first sentance of a document or paragraph. Usually the truth, such as " Marrying " in the same family, and other relative facts are on the 3rd and 4th lines.
Well that's in case actual learning and knowledge are the goal.
Nat Rothschild went nutty and had to start dating a psuedo Royalist when the beautiful Natalie Portman played someone with centuries of inbreeding in a recent film of hers.
Instead of getting excited over her natural beauty or a naked picture, I am quite sure the picture below was the one that got him and the family excited.
