the emails describing the need to fake the data because it didn't fit and how to discredit those who tried to point that out were actually hacked from the email server that the academy was required to keep up by law, and revealed to the world. this is fully admitted as true and the head of the institute has left his position over it.

ummm, that they're poison? that rats fed nothing but gmo products die a horrible death 100% of the time? oh! what am i worried about? the folks in charge are the bestest, kindest, most loving people on earth! certainly they would never spend more energy figuring how to kill people and profit from people rather than making life great for people! they love us all tooooo much to betray our trust!

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Oct 5 (Reuters) - The European Union has found genetically modified flaxseed in 11 Canadian flax shipments in less than one month, dimming prospects for farmers selling this year's crop.

The EU's rapid-alert database for food and feed added two alerts from France on Friday reporting Canadian flaxseed shipments contaminated with GMO flax, bringing the total to 11.

The shipments are all under quarantine.

European consumers are reluctant to eat genetically modified food for fear of unknown longer-term health effects, although the EU accepts some GMO crops, like canola seed.

The EU does not accept any GMO flax.

Gary, The scandal didn't prove that global warming isn't real. There are so many other organizations studying it. Scientists have been measuring CO2 levels for over 30 years. There are chemical markers on CO2 which is emitted from the burning of fossil fuels.

Europe has banned GM corn out of irrational paranoia. I heard they banned it but I never heard of anyone getting sick from it.

Man is the ultimate authority for good or for bad over this planet.

So you're saying what? Are you admitting they fixed the numbers? Not only that, when pressed they wouldn't release the actual raw data, because they must have known what that showed: The Truth. Do you think this is an isolated case? Even if it is how are we expected to take any government/government sponsored scientists on face value now?

Our government was capable about lying about Iraq which has cost many lives, do you think that other governments are any different or care about human lives any more?

If your 'scientist friend' is any good and or honest he will tell you 30 years is nothing. There are drugs that haven't been tested that long yet we still dish them out. Yest here we're not talking about the lifespan off a human, but of the earth. So we have been studying CO2 for 30 years. In the 30 years we have been studying it's got hotter. Therefore CO2=global warming? That's some leap.

This debate could go on forever. The public is not decided but the overwhelming majority of scientist think global warming is a grave concern. I'm not going to put much stock in the opinion of laymen such as you over highly educated professionals.
