This is what my screen looks like since yesterday, no sound, nothing...

I know one of my grand-daughters was pressing the on and reset buttons on my computer, that's all.

Reformat?

graphics card memory is kaput. but try reseating it (if its not onboard)

Yeah...either on board motherboard video or videocard...

if its the video card and its definitely fried you can try "trial by fire" since there is nothing to lose anyways.

but because it was powered on and off a lot of timed before it died, i think an electronic component is actually dead.

Will be trying this out with a S/C-confirmed dead Scope Pro after the holidays.

the procedure is very, very unlikely to have any effect on boards which are soldered like Scope cards are.
It applies to 'solder grids' below large chips, where tension (heat/cold) may stress and break connection points.
The baking makes the solder flow again and fill the gaps.
Is it the card with the fried cap ?

It so happens only the video card was irreparably damaged.

I'm just glad the Pulsars are ok.
