is it normal to keep in such high price the scope boards since xite is aleady out and has 10 times bigger power??
and ok if someone gets a card for the first time, what about us that just might need little more dsp power and ios???
for me a scope card could be sold less without the plugins as an option. not srb, but with the ios.
scope pro for 1900euro and xite for 2800??
Re: scope pro for 1900euro and xite for 2800??
i don't think the cards can be sold cheaper. there are bottom line costs involved that don't reflect the actual power of the products.
this just shows what a good value XITE actually is.

I think the software makes the high price, not the hardware.

From the Scope card, not from Xite.

Granted, most consumer/amateur pieces of hardware, built today, like to maintain the $1,000 US or lower price point to attract the highest quantity of buyers. But when I take a look at 18 DSPs (6 gen1 and 12 gen2)...even if you include the cost of the software development (which is monumental)...the overall price of the XITE-1 is by far, the best deal you could possibly ever get. Just think about the future devices and FX and modulars to be built, a hardware platform to last for over 10 years...WITHOUT being replaced with a newer, greater, gooder, bester, swellsier (like everyone else in the industry) I won't name any names...I know the XITE-1 price point does in a way limit the potential audience/owner/user group. But those willing to make the commitment....it is IMHO, XITE-1 is one of the BEST bang for the bucks, you could ever hope to own. I have been using a Pulsar II card for close to 10 years...and I still think it rocks...16 ADAT IO, SPDIF, MIDI IO...I could go on for days...and the future potential of the XITE-1? Many more IO, devices..etc etc
just a thought Gents...
I really love mine...& I would encourage anyone serious about their music to give it a long, hard look...
just a thought Gents...

I think they should sell it for $100. That way my dog still wouldn't be able to afford it.

There's always M-Audio, or some other Chinese built cheapos out there.
Does Creative Labs make synths?
Obviously doesn't equate though eh?
There's free hosts and VST's out there.
Can probably find a cheap older PC out there somewhere.
yeah...just not the same...
