Hi - I'm running a Pulsar2 + Pulsar2SRB on a P3 1GHZ CPU with 380 MB Ram on Win XP Professional. I am also running Cubase VST. I've pushed the modular and STS 4000 sampler so hard that the timing is begining to suffer. I can live with the odd glitch for writing, but recording is just NOT ON like this.

Is it possible to get Cubase to record Pulsar2 output non realtime - like when you use ONLY VST instruments? This is how I imagine I could record in this state, but I don't know if you can get the Pulsar to output via VST in a sample accurate, non realtime dependant way. There is no point recording chunky sound

Thanks for any suggestions.

What you are trying to do clearly would be impossible because the Pulsar platform would have no way of knowing how you sequenced the notes until it gets played into it. It's not the sequencer it only reacts to the sequencer.

This might help. I found that when I filtered out aftertouch I got much better performance with the gigastudio. I assume the results would be similar with the STS series. Use the MIDI monitor to see what is going through.
