Any news for a final/next release of SCOPE V5???

Post by rhythmaster »

The current release is SCOPE XITE-1 v5.0.2609.

I'm still waiting for the official XTC-release.

Release Candidate looked more like a bêta version but it is good to see how much time they need to "finalize" it :P.
They've probably tried to calibrate themselves with community, which is over complaints.
Now waiting for the "real thing": when I will buy Xite (probably 2 months far from now), the last thing I want to deal with is debugging PCI v5.

Yes Xtc working 100% please ! At the moment I have to use SFP mode (pretty stable) because I experienced so many blue screens in xtc with 5.0 rc... !!! Reinstalled fresh system today to see if it's any better.
If SonicCore can/want/are trying to do a great release, then it's great. Otherwise, well, I'll go elsewhere (protools on mac and rme Nuendo on PC, scope in a satellitte system (only synths). Well, it doesn't matter since the music is the most important anyway. Too much sentimental focus on technology me thinks !!!

Hope you are right!

I own XITE-1 for months but operate with my SCOPE-Cards in XTC-Mode and V4.5.

So the days are getting colder and time could increase for XITE-1 operation!!!!!!!!!!

i work with the moded xtc mode on my xite.
ok. it works, but not very efficient.
ralf wrote to me, that the plugins and mostly the synths needs more "selfarranging"
capabilitys on the dsp´s.

so i would not expect the xtc mode very soon ;-)

Well I reinstalled my os and scope/Nuendo.
It works much much better in XTC mode now !

Thing is, I'm slowly moving to mac and hoping a total mac switch one day if the scope drivers ever come.

Mac OSX 64 bits drivers would be great !

Just testing XTC on latest RC5 atm. I recently started using some Stillwell plugins so I just felt I needed a different workflow.

I guess it works somewhat better, though loading independant instances is heavy on the PCI or DSP. Not sure. So the good old MultiFX's are an efficient tool. Like on drum channels I usually load a Transient Designer, and it absolutely needs to be loaded in hardware "realm" for the settings to be remembered anyway. The very best of all the transient designers imo.

Sometimes there is some strange bug that plugins won't work before you load a preset or something, so here a MultiFX is a life safer.

It's a bit annoying working with these restrictions and I hope they really fix this, but I can't say SFP mode is very transparent either.

Also, they still need to fix their dll's to accept more than two inputs..

... Also! They need to have the dll's report the correct latecy back to the host. Dynamically.
