I was reading we could use the MIDI I/O's of PCI 32bit cards within a Project Window of an XITE-1's project.
I have installed some cards but cannot complete the installation due to the lack of the rgy. file.
I have tried the allkeys.skf file to no avail but thought I would see the extra modules in the Drop down tabs of the XITE-1 project window?
This is not the case.
Any helpful insights would be appreciated.
Ankyu.
Using Scope Cards w/ XITE-1 4 XTRA MIDI

no, i don't think that's possible...
Re: Using Scope Cards w/ XITE-1 4 XTRA MIDI
Jimmy,
I hadn't heard about PCI modules being available within XITE. Did you get this impression from SC?
Spacef had posted that SC said that it would be possible to run the PCI and the XITE side-by-side, and use hardware IOs to connect them (but not internally via s/w connections). He hasn't done this himself, and may not have the full scoop. Siriusbliss hasn't had any success trying that approach, but I don't think he has his XITE keys yet. John Bowen recently posted that he thought it unlikely that it would be possible.
I'm hoping that there is a way (maybe with V4.5?) because that would solve some IO challenges I will have with an XITE alone. Maybe the XTDM will solve this, although that would involve running an external cable back into the computer, which would be awkward. I suspect that XTDM will only connect other XITEs together. Time will tell!

Re: Using Scope Cards w/ XITE-1 4 XTRA MIDI
received my key, but haven't installed it yet, since I'm out of town until next weekend.
Bummer that I can't play with the new toy to see if it's really possible to run both PCI and Xite concurrently.
It MAY come down to tricking the PCI environment to sort of run it's projects inside Xite environment via ADAT or other existing I/O. Not sure.
We'll see...

Re: Using Scope Cards w/ XITE-1 4 XTRA MIDI
All this card does is disallow any use of the Wave Source & Destination Modules, and even though I have drivers enabled for audio/MIDI sequences, the apps says the drivers are not connected. Just having the card in the 32bit slot causes this.
So obviously the slots are being scanned somehow.
It appears as though the 2 x 32bit DAW's will be the choice.
XITE-1 can mix and use synths and 7 MIDI channels for ASIO apps, but the 2nd DAW will be for 16 more channels of ASIO apps. and have it's own dedicated controller.
Either way it's a win/win I guess. Plus the lack of 64bit drivers makes this double 3GB switches on seperate DAW's which will cover many instruments.

Their used to be a digital link module for connecting i.e. soundblonker cards with the earlier Pulsars - for gamers who just really wanted to use the other card for games (go figure).
Not at my machine, and not sure I still have it. Never used it.
