SpaceF, Wolf, Alfonso and others have made some really great ways to control our devices via MIDI and external control. And SC has even fixed a couple of issues I had w/ the B2003 remembering MIDI CC assignments. So hopefully other progress can be made with MIDI.
I already have external control of Sequencers and it helps out when you want to continue recording and stay off the QWERTY. Yamaha's KX controllers are optimized to work with Cubase really well, and my KS88 can do much the same but limited to basic tracking.
To be able to have transport controls for VDAT would be like having a prayer answered.
After recording with VST sequencers I am in the habit of hitting the space bar to start/stop.
If VDAT could also do that I would be so happy.
I wish I could get a dime for everytime I hit the spacebar w/ VDAT and STILL CANT REMEMBER IT DOESNT WORK.........

Here's my current MTC, MMT and MIDI transport controllers.
The real treats are attaching the controllers in the B and C sections shown below, and then attaching external controllers to move these, like the SpaceF CC devices, Reaper Remote, etc.
For example, all 9 faders are assigned to the drawbars on the B2003. But I also then re-route those to an expression pedal using a CC device from SpaceF. I simply move the pedal and have the faders all ganged together.
No other platform or hardware that I know of does this.
I am adding the other knobs to synths tonight. My hardware analog SE-1 can be routed in and out of Scope using these also. Of course my KS88 could just have it's knobs used, but they are tiny inaccurate devils, only worthy of passing along the assignments to another Expression pedal. I don't even bend notes with my hands anymore. Using Expression pedals is way more accurate.
I hope SC continues to develope this. Especially transports for VDAT................
