I'm out of the water

Post by BingoTheClowno »

I just want to let you all know that I am doing fine now. I live with David, a new friend I've met in January that was kind enough to open up his home for me. With his help I was able to find a job at Walmart. I want to thank you all for your nice thoughts and your support in those troubled times.

Nice to see you're doing better.
Chi-town ain't no place to be on the streets.
Lot's of freaks mooching off of the kindness of the Church that helps the needy.
Get your gear back a piece at a time.
Then start packin' shit out the back door at WalMart once ya' get on your feet....

I had a similar experience in the mid 80s. I was 18...homeless...and started at the very bottom.

Just remember...the rewards, and gratification, you will achieve, during the journey ahead, will reap rewards beyond your wildest dreams. Just remember...set a goal...stick to it, get it, and set another....and another...and another. Anything is possible.

God bless you and good luck! :)

Good news, and hat's off.

Rebuild a social network and as netguyjoel tell you, stay focused.

Troubles are not away they are here to last and in troubled time, groups are stronger than individuals.

good luck

Btw Bingo, here in the Scotland, the folks that stack shelves on the night shift for Walmart get paid more than a large percentage of professional graphic designers in the publishing industry. Go figure.

Information for new readers: A forum member named Braincell is known for spreading lies and malicious information without even knowing the basics of, what he is talking about. If noone responds to him, it is because he is ignored.

Thank you all!

I've got my computer with my the cards and some other stuff. She brought it. I've already sold my 5D camera and that helped a lot.
I've not spent much time in Chicago but more in North Chicago and then McHenry counties. You know, downtown of Chicago is ghostlike after midnight. All those huge buildings but not a single hallway to get in and get shelter from the cold. The Union train station is closed for homeless if they don't have ticket (as I found out on my own) and it closes after 12 or so. So unless you are in a shelter, you better get yo ass movin. However, an enterprising person can still find heated spaces to spend the night over ( :-) ).
Unfortunately, a lot of the people that are in the shelters are in advance stages of alcohol addiction or suffer some kind of mental disorder (sometimes caused by the addiction itself). The situation is so freaking sad I won't even describe it. The many churches that offer shelters, attempt to restore the self-confidence and dignity in many of those humans and, honestly, I don't know what the rate of success is.

I'll have to sell some more stuff because there are more changes that will come. :-)
I'll make a list of some audio stuff that some might be interested in having.

Now about Walmart.
I work in the electronics and lawn and garden department. Watering the plants at 6 in the morning is very relaxing believe it or not :-) A very peaceful and calm time, were I can reflect in peace what has happened. I have hard time though identifying all the species of petunias, geraniums, impatiens, etc LOL People are great. :-)

I have to do some of that stuff although I still don't know how to operate the Telxone.

I like house plants. Currently I have a battle with aphids. They killed my salvia but I got another one from my friend.

A lot of people hate Walmart but let me tell you, if you live in an isolated rural community, it is a godsend. All the Walmart haters are city people. I got in a heated debate with a friend. Let them come out here and try live without Walmart! By the way, Chinese people need money too. Are we for free trade or against it? Let us try to live as an isolated nation. I guarantee you we would suffer! Screw the xenophobes I say! also the conspiracy groups (you know who you are.)

I would really violate company's ethics policy if I'd comment on that, Braincell.
