kamurah,don't think you caused any problem.dxl does that stuff cause he's a troll.(a young one anyway)and he's right in that there are many people in these forums who deal cw.(a thing which is not a crime in a place where we do generally like the product)i have found the info given on pz to be pretty good tho-especially by dealers who know what works.
Kamura: this had nothing to do with your request. It was just the "drop to make the overflow" as we say here in Germany.

Yes, like mentioned above it´s important to hear the "good" and the "bad"....
Looking at your setup I see you´ve got a Digi 001 already built in your Mac. I think I saw some "001" users in this forum that might help you do some additional tweaking (if necessary), in order to make them both run reliable on your mac.

Although we must categorically state that we can't guarantee that having sex with a Pulsar card will make your music sound any better.
Look, I think you'll like a lot of what Pulsar has to offer, but try to be prepared for the fact that it's power is not limitless or otherwise you can get quite disheartened when you can't play 10 different synths simultaneously etc....
It didn't take long for me to upgrade my Pulsar II to a Scope (well I added a Scope to my Pulsar II). But as I said in my previous post, it's the environment that really gets me going. I haven't purchased any of the Zarg synths - in fact, the synths on Pulsar are what I've used the least of I reckon.
Some of the synths that come with the package are pretty ordinary. They are NOT Absynth for example. A couple of them are one oscillator synths for example, there's the Blue synth which is pretty much a bog standard 3 osc synth, Miniscope is OK, Lightwave is a fairly impressive wavetable synth, Vectron Player is a nice preset player of a more advanced synth, Prisma has some great modulation routing, and the U KNOW 007 is a nice Roland clone if you like that sort of thing. There is a drum synth called EDS8i which I really don't like, but I'm sure there are people out there who like it.
I actually find some freeware synths for the platform to me more innovative than what comes with the original purchase. Neutron has a couple of excellent freeware synths and the Goofy is pretty marvellous.
OK. I've blabbed on enough. If you do purchase a Pulsar II, keep in touch with this forum because there are a lot of people who can give you expert advice, tips, tricks etc..

Kamura - good choice. What is great is that instead of buying one hardware synth for $900, you can buy one of similar quality (sometimes better) for far far less. Yes, they use DSP, but at least with the modular system you don't use what you don't want. Its a bit like having the kit but not hving it cluttering up your room when you are not using it !
And god, that DXL is one paranoid kid ! I am not a developer, but a very grateful user. This site has been totally invaluable to me and is in itself a really good selling point for Creamware.
In fact, isn't it good if there are some developers in here ? That way they can help if we have problems, and we can tell them when they have problems ?

I would like to say on the subject of synths that sonically they are very high quality.
Howevcer something like absynth for instance, has like a wow factor straight out the box.
Although primsa/lightwave have a certain wow factor.
The pulsar synths on the whole you need to work with them for a while to find a sound you really like, and of course most of the time you have to add effects, to get a real good sound.
In the end however it is worth it. Ashameably I don't always have the patience, so will go for vsti's for instant gratification.
But its nice to have the powerful option to make your own sounds.
Despite many problems I have had, I would not give up my pulsar for the world,

Maybe I should clarify what I use to base my opinions on.....(yes, that would probably help)
I am not too concerned about the "wow" factor...in fact, after playing with the Absynth demo, I thought a vast majority of the presets were down right unusable.
Sure it is nice to have a multi-breakpoint envelope to play with for wierd rhythmic effects....but what do you do with Absynth if you want to tweak it realtime?
Also, I thought that a LOT of the presets were just too darn metallic and digital sounding for my tastes......I mean, there is nothing wrong with that....it just seemed like the engine lent itself to that sort of FM metallic sound very easily. I felt like I was sucking on nickels while listening to it. (it's a wierd analogy, I know, but try to imagine....)
I really like the softsynths that sound more "organic" if you will.....like real filters. That was what originally drew me to Dynamo....it is very "bread and butter" soundwise but the filters sounded pretty good to me.
I don't hate the sound of Reason.....it is just that in my heart I know they must be doing some sort of compression to the audio to be able to get THAT MUCH going on with so little CPU load. I don't want to compromise my sound.
I am hoping that the Pulsar will fill the gap that I have been searching for....the sound of hardware with the flexibility, expandability, and recall of software.
In any case.....I ordered my card today. Gonna start off with the Pulsar II. If I like it and want to continue on I will order a SRB later. Got what I feel is a pretty good deal from Novamusik in WI....my sales rep (Tony) was extremely helpful and supportive. Card will arrive tomorrow, so today I am "prepping" the operating room (computer room).

Anyhow, Kamurah! yo dude, I saw you asked about the Pro One and well, being that I own one, I like it a lot. It is a bit heavy on the DSP, but dude... it is sure as hell well spent the Synth sounds fat! The Prophet one he makes also sounds realy good . As soon as I get my other projects underway with my studio I am going to go back and purchase some of his other synth bundles. Anyhow, just thought I would give my 2 Cents. lata

That's cool! Thanks for the tip. I didn't even know that he had made a Prophet version. Looking on the website, it looks very cool, and the testimonials there (yes I realize that only good stuff would get posted) sounded positive.
That will probably be a synth I will pick up at some point. (Always lusted after a Prophet 5 when I was growing up)

And it is certainly only the excerpt of all the praises. Bet that! Have a look at Ambient. A DSP monster, but FAT! (The fatter, the DSP? Yes!). And have your modem prepared for downloading the goodies here. Like Neutron, Saturn, FM4, PT-Reverb, amphetamine, moonizer ...
