Alright....this is the last cock measuring post.
But seeings how Greg is a Scope warrioir and has ordered one, I feel it's my duty.
FWIW. I had zero optimizations, it never asked for anything, and I don;t know how to use the big Scope mixers so I double stacked the channels.
I honestly thought I would run out of juice and have to optimize after 16 or so.
But as you see the numbers are accurate.
The first 6 DSP chips are Gen II types. They max out in the Sync column at about 1100 or so.
The 7th - 18th chip max out at Sync numbers around 6800--7000.
So the meter is darn accurate at 27% or so.
I won't ever use 96k or 32 MasterSperbs...
But I will be using lots of FAT BASTARDS.......so those tests, will be fun. But not until I get a few projects ready and do my sampler installs.
I guess this is also a good figure having 32 MV Pro's but keep in mind the RAM on each chip is 64MB, so this test is making me yawn..............I could probably do 100 but who really gives a damn about that ?..........I have great mixes already with 6 Plates in the channels, and the DAS 5.1, SC 5.1, and the Ambience as my AUX Verbs.
Each verb has it's own character and I can honestly say when I close my eyes which one I am listening to. They are very detailed for being old DSP verbs.
It;s the new ones that take advantage of the RAM and are made for the XITE-1 that I am feverish for.
But 32 channels of synths and samplers using 3 AUX and 6 stereo channel inserts is plenty for my needs.
