Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help (PLEASE !).

Iv'e just upgraded to windows XP and I've installed Luna 3.1. Everything works ok, but when I try and send MIDI out of the card through Cubase, nothing seems to reach my synth, although MIDI works fine whithin cubase (VST's etc).

The support person at Creamware reckons I need to edit my System.ini file to solve the problem but he doesn't know how.

Anyone know how to edit this file ?

Hi there! :-)

I'm afraid I can't help you out much, since I have exactly the same problem myself. However, I can use "Logic Audio Platinum" (still I do prefer "Cubase"), without any problems. Midi out is working. I can hear sound from my synth (as I use an external synth as a supplier for some of the sounds); but only in "Logic". I run two OS's (win98sec on primary partition, and XP secondary). My Luna 2 card won't work at all in Win98 (tons of limitations and crackled soundpicture), but pretty smoothly in WinXP; strange thing (although only with software v3.01 installed). I can use (send MIDI Out signals to my synth), in Logic but not in Cubase. I've tried everything!! (probably not, but that's how I feel.. :-) ). Concerning the system.ini modification. I don't have a clue! I sounds interesting tho; and I hope somebody could please give me (us) a helping hand. That would be very nice and generous!

Take care!
Respect;

I would upgrade to logic but I just havn't got £650 going spare !

I found out what this workaround is...
It's a registy key in cubase that has to be modified. I tried it but it just messed it up completely so I wouldn't advise it.

If your'e interested though I can post it up.
Interested ?

Hi there Nickyg! :-)

Yeah! :-) I would to try that "registry modification" of yours. I'm open to try everything! Even tho, there is a great risk of messing up my Cubase! That's okay! It's worth a shot anyway! I can always just stick to Logic if something gets out of hand! :-)

Please post it up Nickyg!

That would be nice of you!
Take care!
