TooL Lateralus Synth Sound

Wow,the off topic zone is the most interesting of the boards.I'd read stuff here for days.

BTW any TOOL fan here?

I'm listening to "Reflection" from Lateralus (incredible work of art)
and on this mystical track there are some scary synths that goes like "Eeewwww"
or "Gnnaawww"

i want that sound NOW
(not mentioning the "violin like" sound that appears sometimes)

Advices on how to reproduce it ??

well, I just don't remember which synth made the swirling eeeewww, but I have at least a very, very similiar preset somewhere...

but it's (always) a pleasure to help out with the violin, best performed on a 4 voice poly, non-touch-sensitive, fixed velocity(!) mini-keyboard
it's not in the features, but what you make of it

HOLY S*** !!!! That is crazy stuff

For the other sound i found that it could be a moog ,i heard a similar sound on Solaris demo page ..the n.8 (moog sweep) has a similar quality i think ?
Btw is not only the sound itself that i love so much,its also the grain of sound...so organic..
