OK then:
i mean god, people used to have to clean tape heads, load tapes, make notes of knob settings and stuff and i have to put up with an extra mouse click, for the love of god make it stop...

Or even worse, keep one finger on the Esc button to deny and your thumb on the space bar to confirm. How bad can hell be after all that...

I agree on that one, it's unintuitive and I've done the exact same thing over & over (knowing intellectually what I "should" do). I've gotten a bit better over the last few years as I started to pay more conscious attention, but paradoxically I don't use quite as much now either (due to being busy with non-music related work I mean).
