Hi all,

FruityLoops isn't my sequencer of choice but I do own it and was asked to collaborate with someone using it as the host.

So I've taken it out of storage, blown the dust off and installed it on my music machine, but can not get the damn thing to work.

I can install everything but when I go to run FruityLoops I get the splash screen and nothing else. It will sit there on my screen interminably with the famous "not responding" in my task list.

I'm on a PIII 1GHz, 512Mb Ram, Pulsar II running 3.01.

Has anyone had trouble with FruityLoops with Pulsar II?

I have the exact same problem with fruityloops. I have a dual boot system with windows 98SE Lite sleek version and Windows 2000. I use the Puslar in the 98 OS but fruityloops freezes on booting. Sometimes it will boot after about 5 minutes. I ended up using it in Windows 2000 where it works fine (with just the Pulsar driver not the software) but it's a pain in the ass because I have to reboot every time I want to use my other music software to edit or create sounds for fruityloops.

It's probably your Win98SE "Lite Sleek" - maybe a little TOO lite?

I own Fruity full and it works great on 98SE and now ME/XP.

DXL are you using 98 Lite Sleek?

I don't want to make any drastic change unless I have my system backed up and I need to buy a new hard drive to do that (maybe in a month). I was thinking I should back it up before installing Scope Fusion.

Fruityloops is the only program not working and I don't really need it.

I'm using Win98SE rather than Lite.

But I feel a little better knowing that someone has had this problem too.

I don't really need Fruity either so it's not the biggest loss in the world...and the next version of Fruity will be a VSTi so that might bypass the problem altogether (I hope).

Yes this is going to be pretty slick! Can't wait for that update.

I think I solved it. Fruityloops 3.4 requires your monitor be set for millions of colors.
