I'm using the STM 2448 for recording.
It is not that easy to get the Talkback - Button with the mouse all the time.
Can someone tell me:
Is it possible, to program a hotkey / shortcut on my computer keyboard that turns the Talkback - Function of the 2448 ON or OFF?
I know, that there is the midi learn function. But I would not like to buy a midi controller for using only this one button.
Do you have any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance, for any hints!
A Steven G

If you can find some software that converts key-commands into MIDI CC, then you are golden.

Gigastudio guys love this approach.
Total customization too.

So, it can output MIDI CC?
Re: Programable key command for STM 2448 to Talkback
Program Change messages are MIDI CC's so I don't see why not.
Lot's of Giga guys use Fatar weighted controllers because of the weighted action.
The downside is that Fatar doesn't think zones or MIDI CC's are necessary or they would incorporate such features, so Giga guys use their QWERTY for many of these absent features.
Personally I thanked them for their advice, but since I have a need for many MIDI CC's on the fly, I opted for mediocre action w/ large amounts of MIDI CC's.
Here's a quote:
Hi Al,
I use a macro to put all the midi CCs in place for a session.
It takes 2 key strokes and place 6 or so cc in about 1 second.
The macro app is EZ macros and seems to be happy in the GS4 environment.
it's a work around.
Hope this works.

The midi translator seems to be the right tool.
I will try it.
Thanks to you all!
