Just realised i had my 8th Z anniversary christmas eve - amazing forum this is! Nothing else like it. Old hardware, old forum, fresh as a daisy

I'm working 12 hours tomorrow as a stage hand on a dance/electro event here in Perth :-

Well, that was a big day!

I was on mainstage duties for 12 hours - and heard nothing that really grabbed me. Spose i'm a bit of a snob.

Cicada worked the crowd some, and are a lovely bunch of Londoners.

Armin Van Buren did a 2 hour set, all 4-on-the-floor with sidechained bass. build tension, release. and again. Crowd were gagging for him, but i wasn't on their drugs, so it didn't occur to me to groove along.

Underworld put on a big techy show, and mixed up the grooves a lot. Not bad at all for old boys
They brought on their 12 five metre inflatable dildos, LED lit from the inside, and pushed them over to resemble the world's largest anemone, with the band like little clownfish amongst. It looked truly great.

My favourite bit was just after that, when we launched 30-odd 6-foot diameter balloons, which we'd spent a couple of hours inflating, into the 20,000 crowd. Enjoyed that
