Very Interesting reading indeed.

Somehow they managed to leave out Andy Warhol's involvement, which I consider to have left some really interesting contibutions. For example, he made posters famous.
Until then it was all paintings, and prints.
The cheap mass produced poster was what launched Head shops.
I was just a kid during those days with my Uncle and brother in VietNam, (the Republic Of ) but we couldn't wait to take our nickels and dimes down to see those black light posters, of Morrison, Joplin, and my all time favorite which I still have.........Jimi Hendrix.

Nice article. Never knew about Zappa's wife's roots.

Amazing read. Who'd have thought that Laurel Canyon was such a sinister place. Heavy military presence & connections, so many murders, so many involved in the occult & child abuse - & all in the conspicuous birth place of the hippie. Dear oh dear.

not the birthplace of the "hippie", that's San Fransisco.

Laurel Canyon is actually an occult name(as is Hollywood, the name of the wood for a wizard's wand) and it has always been populated with kooks who have too much money or come from families with too much money into strange stuff and their hangers on. Topanga and the other groovy places around there(Malibu, Venice, Santa Monica, etc are much the same). of course, i've known some pretty cool kooks who lived there. i know a guy who used to play conga drums for some of the orgies...

it's beautiful up there, i'll bet you did!

when travelling to parts of the Valley from the Westside, i'd always take that route if i could, just to get out of the parking lot that is the 405 and 101 and breathe some clean(er) air and enjoy the cool breeze and ease my mind with a little of what made California beautiful and a paradise...it all kinda comes together there, the oaks, pines, hills and on either side, the desert and the sea...

you're still well placed in the world. :)

Thanks for that!

Needed to hear that now that I'm possibly getting laid off by the MIND CONTROLLED corporate shim-sham artists that control the so-called 'wireless industry'.

Just means time for Xite and some more music!

Consumers are buying products that were designed and manufactured 2 years ago (especially in the US). Just because they are being announced, and are on the shelves doesn't mean they were manufactured last week.

Present new development is lagging due to consolidation, bad investments, and waste (as well as the usual Corporate corruption).

Our mind's are indeed controlled. :)

All this just means that I get to go back into engineering and post production work....
