Vienna Ensemble 3 Networking

Post by braincell »

Vienna Ensemble 3 is 99$ EU. It allows you to network two or more computers to use the VSL.

I wish that Sonic Core had such software!

It's a networking thing. You can use another computer as a host. I decided just to get a midi interface which handles 64-bit but the bad thing is that it doesn't connect the two computers as this would but it's only for the Vienna Instruments sounds.

Since I posted this, I ordered the MOTU Fastlane 2 i/o MIDI interface. It's the only little interface which works under Vista 64. Going to cross my fingers and try the Gigabyte S/PDIF on the motherboard with ASIO4ALL for my audio.

Thanks, I will try that maybe. It looks like I will begin building my computer by the end of this week!

It's too bad we have to buy new hardware for a new operating system. I do not expect companies to support old hardware forever but I would pay for new drivers and it is more environmentally friendly to not make new equipment. Including my Novation keyboard, I have now bought 4 midi interfaces in my life.
